To date, the Spirit of Harmony concert series directed and performed by AnnaLotte has produced 30 virtual concerts for hospitals across 7 hospitals throughout the United States with over 100 hours of live music. The concerts have ranged from private concerts with individual patients to hospital wide broadcast live concerts. Each concert focuses on creating an interactive atmosphere to give every listener an equal voice during the concert. The concerts are built from requests from hospital patients and staff as well as suggestions sent from music lovers from Hawaii to Germany.

Audience Feedback

  • St. Peter's University Hospital, NJ

“On behalf of everyone here at Saint Peter’s University Hospital I would just like to thank you for sharing your time, talents and energy with us during these 11 private concerts you have blessed us with. Each concert has had such an impact on both our staff and our patients alike because the power of music is not only healing but it brings people together. Thank you for being an escape, bringing peace to our minds and hearts, and reminding us of the beauty in the world through each note you played and sang. Your kindness through the messages you sent each session warmed each viewer and gave us all the strength to push through whatever troubles we were having. And on a personal note, you have been an absolute pleasure to work with because of your kindness, patience and your eagerness to make a difference.”

  • St. Peter's University Hospital, Staff

“I thoroughly enjoyed it.  During a time where who knows when you will be able to see a concert, it is wonderful that SPUH offered this to their employees.  I am looking forward to more similar programs! Thank you once again and please thank AnnaLotte for sharing her gift, talent, and love of music with us!”

  • St. Peter's University Hospital Staff:

“What an amazing performance today! It was so wonderful of you to put the card you received when you were a patient on the piano and to make all of the shout outs that you did. And you surprised us with singing! Beautiful!!!”

Background

This has been a time of isolation, loss, and fear for all of us navigating our new reality during the Covid-19 epidemic. However, this reality is especially amplified for many chronically and critically ill patients in hospitals throughout the country who are bereft of visitors and social services. While many of us have not left our houses, many senior citizens and cancer patients have been unable to leave their rooms for months. Human connection is of the utmost importance for us all to survive this global crisis together; what better force than music to help us express the inexpressible. Please contact me if you or somebody you know would like to connect. You can also request a piece you would like to hear at a scheduled hospital concert by contacting me here.
